Bands
The Tønder Festival offers a great variety of music styles, musicians and bands, everybody will be able to find her and his music. And of course it is impossible to hear all concerts, you will have to make your choice. And so did I as a photographer. I tried to see as many bands as possible and took photos. But I have my personal preferences which is visible in the following list.
The Tarantino Twist Show had fine music, and told an interesting, exciting and partly shocking story. Sierra Ferrell was my first discovery of the Festival, what a phantastic voice. The second discovery was AySay from Denmark, which mixed Anatolian folk and Nordic electronic music. And there were old friends like Altan with wonderful Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh or Frankie Gavin & De Dannan. Reeb Willms and Caleb Klauder played fine concerts and so did Jim Lauderdale. All three are very nice people and we will see them again in the musician bar and the volunteers party. Det Yderste Hav is a danisch trio from Fan which were on stage with some friends. Jeppe Brixvold is a phantastc singer who makes the character of their music.
A very special Concert was the one of Graham Nash, where I made only few photos. In this moment I found it more important to join my old schoolmates out in the audience for that wonderful music.

The Tønder Festival is also the festival of the Jam sessions. There ar several places and opuurortunities where Session with total different actors take place.
